Whitecaps in the Land Cut

We had to fight the 30+mph winds on Wednesday 4/29/09. We started the day off with a nice trout on the first cast, then it came to a screaching hault. The land cut was a little slow but we finally found some fish toward the end of the trip. Kelly ended up with the biggest catch of the day with her 27" Red but I think Michelle made up for it cause she caught more Drum. Not a bad day with 40lbs of fish in all. You know the winds blowin hard when there are whitecaps in the land cut!!!! Thanks again for fishin with me.

Beginners Luck

Saturday 4/25/09 We fought the 25mph winds and had a great day in the Land Cut. We started the day off with a nice 23" Spec. I guess there is such thing as beginners luck cause he latched onto another 21" Trout right after the 23"er. Pretty impressive for a first time Trout fisherman. We also had a personal best Black Drum. All trash talkin aside it was a nice catch also! I guess if yall want to catch the biggest Trout you shouldn't bring the young gun...... Thanks again for fishin with me.

Big Ol Trout

Dave Rjasko and Dominick Bustamante tore the trout up in the cut today 4/21/09. The final count was 17 Trout. The biggest fish of the day was Dom's 24"er. It weighed in on the lipper at just over 4lbs. I guess he made up for the one that got away last time we went to the cut..... Dave and I have some catchin up to do, we both missed some really big trout. I'm ready to go just say when.....

Lady Luck

Saturday 4/18/09 was a day I will not forget for a VERY LONG TIME! Mostly because my lucky wife brought in 8 big trout to my two little trout..... Alicia got to experience the land cut at its finest. She was able to catch a 25", 24", and two 22"ers that were all close to 5lbs each. I guess that is the definition of LADY LUCK!!!! The entire stringer of 10 trout was right at 40lbs. I can't wait to do it again. Tanks for the memories babe!!!!

Texas Slam

Wayne Mcguirre got his first Texas Slam with me. He also got this nice oversized Red which was another first for him. We fished March 28th in 30mph winds but it paid off for Wayne cause he latched onto a Red, Flounder, Black Drum and a Trout that he had to kiss. Thanks for hangin with me in the wind Wayne!!!
