Gotta Love fishin December in the Land Cut! Alex Trevino from Bradley Motors along with Kenny and Terry and I went down to the Land Cut and caught fish after fish on live shrimp under an alameda rig. Not all of em were keepers but all three of them lost count of how many fish they caught a piece. Thats a good day of catchin in my book!! Kenny wound up snaggin the biggest trout of the day with his 21" Mustard Mouth and "Wayne" Alex caught the next biggest with his big ol bruiser sheeps head! Terry had em both on the number of fish he caught. Thanks for fishin with me again guys I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next trip! See ya on the water, Capt John

Arroyo City Huntin

11/22-11/27 We did some huntin while we were down in Arroyo City. We wound up gettin a Mottle with a band some beautiful pintails along with redheads, buffleheads, blue bill and a few that I missed. I stuck a huge cow Nilgai while bow huntin the Laguna Atascosa Wildlife Refuge! Great memories!! Cant wait to do it again....

11/11/11 We had agreat trip to Baffin/Land Cut! Buuba, Lisa and Megan took the cold ride down and fished hard to get a Team Texas Grand Slam! Megan had all the lady luck and brought in her limit of Drum quick from the Land Cut. We went after some Reds and Flounder and found a few in Baffin before we headed home. 9/24/11 The Blackmons and Wittens went fishin with me down to the Land Cut. Tracy had two really nice trout that went 22 and 23"s and Ernie had a huge bull red that went 38"s and weighed 26lbs! 9/17/11 We had a great day on the water despite the 20+mph winds. We went into the Land Cut to get away from the wind and found some really nice quality trout and found one really nice Red in Baffin on our way back home. Keith Farris had the biggest trout at 25"s with Jimmy Hill and

8/27/11 I took the MG Builders group to Baffin. We fished around the rocks in Baffin and found lots of Black Drum some Reds and one keeper Trout. We used live piggys and berkley shrimp in 7' of water. We also tossed out a crab that swam too close to the boat and got a red as soon as it hit the water! We took a trip to Baffin Bay for Thanksgiving weekend and caught several trout from 15-18"s and lots of sheepshead! We caught our Trout around Kleberg Point and the Sheepshead by the Tide Guage using live shrimp. We had a great time and the girls did awesome catchin piggys on handlines for bait at night! Labor Day Catfishin!

Sept. 3-6th 2010 We took a fishin trip to the Guadalupe River with family and friends. We ended up catching 40 catfish and all of them weighed 5-9lbs "We threw back several of the smaller 1 and 2 pounders". All of the cats were Big Ol Blue Cats except for one "Flat head" Yellow Cat that weighed 9lbs. We caught them using finger mullet on limb lines and had a huge fish fry sunday after noon!!! We made some great memories and filled the freezer full of blue cat.... We were runnin low!!! We Will See Ya on the water! Capt. John

3/27/10 We took a trip to the Guadalupe River. We caught 23 Blue Cats on limb lines and one flat head. Gary was up there also and brought in some really nice blue cats also. We had fun and made lots of great memories!!! I took video of Derrick Katzer catching an alligator that hit his Electric Chicken while we were redfishin. The gator was released unharmed and we didnt loose any fingers or arms in the process!!

2/20/10 We took a trip to Baffin and caught some nice reds and trout on the way. The biggest trout was 27"s and weighed 6.5lbs The reds were nice and fat at 8lbs each. See ya on the water, Capt. John

Hog Huntin!!!

1/27/10 Josh Clark and I went and killed a couple pigs after work on a Wednesday afternoon. The Boar I shot was about 200-230lbs and the pig Josh got was 40lbs. That boar was hangin out with them little ones like a sal normally does. Kinda weird.... Oh well, PORK..... Its whats for dinner!!! See ya on the water, Capt. John

New Years Trip to Baffin

1/1/10 We made a trip down to Baffin to bring the New Year in on the water. We had a great time and even caught a few fish from the cabin. Derrick was the trout slayer of the trip, Allison caught some Black Drum, Anthony took Allisons Drum from her and took a picture and I supervised to make sure Kaylee didn't fall in!!!! 12/30/09 Anthony and I made a run to Baffin and threw top waters for 30-45 mins. We were able to trick a few fatty trout and release em. Good trip even tho it was a short one!!!
